MY FIRST CONCERT ALONE? MY FIRST TIME DRIVING TO LA BY MYSELF?!
I came home this weekend for my two LANY concerts at the Hollywood Palladium, October 26th and 27th.
As ya’ll know from my socials, I love this band with all of my heart. I’ve talked about them a lot this month because their new album came out, I met them, and I had these two concerts.
I’m not a GA (general admission) kind of girl, okay? I am 5 feet tall. I am tiny. I’ve had floor/pit seats at concerts in the past and they’re not worth it unless I’m near or at front row. I made a SACRIFICE for these boys. I made the decision to buy the tickets anyways in hopes that the concert would go better than other one’s I’d been to in the past.
The first night, I went up to the balcony and was actually up against the railing (so I was “front row” up there). I didn’t care to get there early, because I knew there’d already be a ton of people in line, and I knew I would need front row to see if I was on the floor.
The second night, I stayed on the floor. I was against a wall, and I sat while I waited for the boys to start. When they came out, I stood, and was actually able to see Paul on stage.
As I stated before, this was my first concert alone. I’ve converted 3 of my friends to be LANY fans but none of them could make it, whether it be distance or timing, it didn’t work out. I was not about to pass up on this concert though! I didn’t think my mom would want to come since she likes having a seat at concerts, so I decided to go by myself. I didn’t think much about it until the actual day, then I started getting worried.
I will make a separate blog post all about my anxiety and doing things alone. It’s probably going to be the next post, so look out for that if you’re interested.
Anyways, things turned out great and I actually made awesome friends while there.
The boys sounded exactly like studio version, which is amazing. They were super hype and energetic. The backgrounds they did for the stage took my breath away. Congrats to them for selling out two nights in a row at the Hollywood Palladium.
This was my first time seeing LANY perform live, and they we’re so rad. It was incredible. It was my first time at the Hollywood Palladium, and although my friend and I had issues with standing room at the venue, it all turned out fine (I’ve been through so much worse, so this venue was like a god sent).
The first night, I took a ton of videos, whereas the second night I took more photos and danced more. Here are some photos from the first night. I didn’t take many photos because they weren’t as clear as my videos.
This was the second night. I took more photos of the stage projections.
After the show, since I was already on the floor this time, I was able to go towards the stage and get a closer look.
After the show, I was in such a daze. I walked back to my car, while on the phone with my mom, holding confetti in the other hand, and my mouth gaping open from shock. I didn’t know what to say or do after seeing Halsey for the first time.
It was an amazing night, that I wouldn’t trade for the world. I am so grateful for these boys and all that they’ve gotten me through. Their music means so much to me. Love you xoxoxoxoxo.
